It's been quite some time since I've posted.
I took a bit of a hiatus from my blog and making videos. The truth is... I fell off the wagon. Last year, I stopped working out and eating as healthy as I should've been. The 'lifestyle' sort of, halted. I took some time off and I'm dedicated to getting myself back on track(again) and back to being ME! I started working out again recently and instead of 'dieting' ( I hate that word) I began making more healthy options in my food. One of the hardest things about living a healthy lifestyle is eating right. I want to get my body back into shape for my overall health, and of course to look and feel good about myself. To be honest, I've gained a bit of weight and would like to lose quite a bit of it. I believe it's safe to say many of us have probably gained some weight, you know, quarantine and all. Let's do it together, follow along with me for fitness finds, food, workouts and lifestyle things too. I can do it, you can do it, WE can do it! -Meghan

Happy Monday Everyone! Welcome back! I fell off track the past few Fridays which is my own fault. I didn't work out for about two to three weeks. I was just tired and my body was taxed and I needed a break. Ya know? It's not that I didn't and don't care about my health or my fitness goals. However, we're all human and sometimes you have to take time for yourself, to recharge and reset. I did start back on June 28th, which would've been last Friday and I had some supplements to try and I'm back today with a review. I tried something entirely new! The company is, Blonyx. I had never heard of them before but they reach out and were kind enough to send us a sample of their new Egg White Protein Isolate. I've never tried Egg White Protein Isolate, I've always been into Whey Protein, and Isolate. You may ask, what's the difference between the two. Let me tell you: Whey Protein, as you may know, is derived from milk. It has other vitamins, minerals and benefits but for those of you who may be lactose intolerant, well whey protein may not be the best option for you. Egg White Protein is made from, eggs (duh). The egg whites are turned into a powder which is rich in protein and avoiding fats. Egg whites have some nutrients (not as much as an egg yolk) but just the same as whey protein with milk, some people can have allergies to egg whites too. So both types of protein have their benefits, but for some, they have their downfalls too. About Blonyx Egg White Protein specifically:
Their instructions recommend mixing one scoop with 8 ounces of cold water. On their website it states that they, "take all the bad taste out of egg whites, and even take out the frothiness too!" I did as the instructions recommended and even still, I experienced frothiness. Normally, when I drink whey protein, the frothiness doesn't bother me, so I didn't think anything of it when the egg white protein did the same. Well, this frothiness is totally different from whey protein in my opinion. It looks like if you've ever had egg whites out of a carton and you shake the carton up before putting the eggs in a pan, that kind of frothiness. For me, I wasn't a fan of the taste. The flavor I received was milk chocolate. I don't think it was bad at all. I'm just a fan of more sweeter tasting protein powders. Keep in mind that this protein is very minimally processed, and has natural ingredients in it, which is good. Especially if you live a more organic, or vegetarian lifestyle. I'm not totally organic or vegetarian. I didn't notice any upset stomach or discomfort from drinking this though. This can be a deal breaker for many people. *I do not have an allergen to eggs. In conclusion, I don't think that this protein powder is bad or that you shouldn't buy it. If you like protein powder that's more natural and doesn't have a sweet taste to it then this is for YOU! I appreciate Blonyx giving us the opportunity to try their newly releasing protein. Let me know if you guys try it and what you think! Leave any comments or questions down below! I'll talk to you soon, ♥Meghan Happy Friday you guys! This week I got a few samples from ProSupps and Ghost Lifestyle. Ooooohhhh am I excited! Now one thing I will begin by saying about ProSupps is that I have tried their original formula of Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll. I did like their original formula, so I'm excited to see how the NitroX series ends up working out. I didn't know that ProSupps had a Dr. Jekyll stimulant-free formula. It doesn't have any caffeine but still gives you a boost for your workout. The Hydro BCAA I'm hyped to try out, one for the flavor, "Sex on the Beach". I love fruity type drinks, smoothies, etc...so I'm hoping this is right up my ally. Lastly, PS Whey, in Vanilla Milkshake, I expect this to be 'pretty average' as far as flavors go but we will see. Stay tuned for a more detailed review on these. Next up, Ghost Lifestyle. I've never tried anything from them yet, but, oh boy, I cannot wait. Their packaging alone is so bomb. Am I right? I mean, come on, look at it. The two products on the right are the Ghost Legend Pre-Workouts in WARHEADS-Sour Watermelon and WARHEADS-Sour Green Apple. The two products on the right are Ghost BCAA's in Sour Patch and Swedish Fish. Lastly, the one in the middle is of course protein and is in the flavor Cereal Milk. Alright, so that's what I've got for you guys this week. I'm going to try these out and once I do I will be back here with a full review on them. Stay tuned everyone. Have a great weekend. We cannot wait to hear from you, Talk to you soon -Meghan♥ What is up you guys. I hope you've had a great week so far. Today I'm back with a review on BANG ENERGY drinks. These drinks are not your regular 'energy drinks'. Their more for those of you who live a more active lifestyle. Some ingredients in BANG are Creatine, Caffeine & BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids.) As I've mentioned before, BCAAs are my favorite supplement. They help keep my hydrated while also helping my muscles recover from working out.
These are some of my favorite pre-workout drinks. Most days I only drink half of a can and save the other half for the next day. I don't find myself needing a whole can, even though I could drink it. Each can is 300 mg of caffeine. For some people that is way too much. You may want to start with half a can and work your way up to a whole can if your sensitive to caffeine. One thing we noticed over time. I was on a huge BANG ENERGY kick for about 1-2 months. I had to have it in order to work out. After a while drinking it I would say about four times a week at least is that it started to weigh me down a bit. What I mean by that is, it made my workouts and me a little more sluggish and I had less stamina than if I hadn't of drank it? I'm not sure why this started happening. So, we stopped drinking it for a while and regained our stamina. These flavors are amazing, they are spot on with each and every one of them. I think my favorite flavor I can have any time would be the Cherry Blade Limeade. If you've ever been to sonic and tried the cherry limeade, it tastes just like it (to me). The company put a lot of time and effort into their flavors and their not dyed with artificial flavors, which I like. If you try these I feel like you will LOVE them for their flavor and focus, just maybe don't drink them as often as I was. I still love BANG just now limit myself to how much of it I consume. Let me know your thoughts on BANG and if you've tried any from the coffee or tea series. Talk to you guys soon! ♥Meghan |
